Glen of Imaal Mountain Rescue

The volunteers of the Glen of Imaal Mountain rescue are the brave people who found the plane on that fateful day in October 2008. They searched tirelessly and then assisted in the recovery operation too.

Over the years since, the Charlie Froud Foundation has donated funds annually, to assist with the build of their new base as well as buying new equipment. One of the specialist vehicles even has the call sign “Glen Charlie” in recognition of the contributions the foundation has made.

We have become friends and run regular events where we collaborate and support each other including both the ‘Cycle for Charlie’ events and their annual ‘Moonlight Challenge’.

Over the last two years we have been proud to support this local Bristol charity. The dedicated care they give to children with life limiting conditions makes such a positive difference to the patients and to their families.
