Paddle for Charlie 2016
In 2016, nine novice paddlers decided to tackle the 2nd longest river in Ireland - the barrow. They were guided by friends from the Glen of Imaal Mountains Rescue who kept them safe and having fun. They even persuaded the Paddlers that they needed to tackle a weir backward, after they admitted it was purely to challenge them and had no technical reason at all!
When limbs were getting tired and backs' stiff, the shout could be heard across the Irish countryside "Paddle, Paddle, Paddle"
A wonderful achievement and some hard earned funds were raised.
